FED-MT production line – proven technology in a new way

The manufacturer of extrusion- and compounding lines, part of the Feddersen Group, presents itself for the first time this year at the world-wide leading trade fair for plastics. Additionally, in hall 15 -booth A58, the world premiere of the new machine design of FEDDEM is taking place.

By continuing the operations of the division “construction of extrusion and compounding lines” of the company Decroupet Maschinenbau, FEDDEM began its business operations on 1^st of September 2009 “, according to Dieter Groß, Managing Director at FEDDEM GmbH & Co. KG. „At that time, we decided to adapt to the increasing requirements in the engineering sector by modernizing the proven technology. In cooperation with a design agency, we have developed different studies. The concept being established in several steps will be presented at the K-2010“, Dieter Groß adds.

In terms of screw design and available torque, the production line FED-MT is an optimized construction for many different compounding processes. It is designed for high output rates at an extraordinary compounding quality.

At FED-MTS (MTS = Multi Task Standard) production line, the volumetric deliveries of screw flights and the available torque are designed according to the requirements of engineering plastics and masterbatches in the compounding process. Different sizes with a screw diameter of 37 – 94 mm and a product-dependant output rate of 40 kg up to 4 t per hour are currently being offered.

The new company is not only focusing on the sale of standard machines belonging to the standard-program, but also offers customized solutions. Furthermore, FEDDEM presents complete project planning and delivery of turn-key systems including peripherals worldwide. Delivery of spare parts, overhaul of second-hand machines as well as on site service completes the range of available services.
