FEDDEM extruders with the multi- task process unit and kneading block-free screws often allow a product change without having to convert the extruder. When compounding engineering plastics, it is rarely necessary to change screws. This reduces downtimes and supports high availability of the line. With the use of multiple FEDDEM production lines of different sizes, the same product quality can be produced on the individual machines – regardless of the size of the selected extruder. This increases flexibility of production planning significantly.

The good comparability of the product quality achieved with extruders of different sizes allows for a high success rate of extrapolations in scale-up and scale-down projects.
